SDSPLS 44th Annual Convention

January 6th - 8th, 2027

Mitchell, SD

The Big Sioux Chapter is hard at work planning the 44th Annual Convention. If you have ideas for presenters, topics, events, activities, or just ideas to make the convention better than ever -- please reach out to Nancy via call/text at 605.951.1004 or email at DirectorSDSPLS@hotmail.com. The Planning Committee also encourages you to start putting together your Scholarship Auction Items. We're looking for some exciting new additions this year, so team up in your office and put together a hunting/fishing package, a weekend get-a-way, or another great idea that can help us raise money for the scholarship fund.

Check back soon for updated information and registration.

We look forward to seeing you in Mitchell!

Purchase your 250th Bronze Medallion Here!

This is your opportunity to purchase a 3 1/2" diameter bronze replica of the SDSPLS Medallion placed in the U.S. 250th Anniversary Tri-State Survey Marker! This beautiful medallion is a replica of the medallion used in the marker, along with those of the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors and the North Dakota Society of Professional Land Surveyors, near the Minnesota-North Dakota-South Dakota tri-state border. The location of the monument is near the site of the "Witness Initial Monument" referenced in the original 1891 survey notes associated with establishing the North Dakota-South Dakota border along the 7th Standard Parallel. Estimated delivery of your medallion will be at the SDSPLS Convention, January 6th - 8th, 2027.
